Van Halen November kicks off at Sunset Sound with Engineer/Producer/Author/Historian Brian Kehew coming in to Studio 2 for an amazing informative discussion. Brian was introduced to us at Sunset Sound through Ted Templeman biographer Greg Renoff just last week. He told us he had been in the Warner Brothers vault when he was hired to go through all the Van Halen outtakes and unreleased audio and we asked if he could come in studio that day. He agreed and this is that conversation. We have a 2nd installment of this interview that will be released this coming week. Thank you to Brian, Greg and long live Van Halen.

Norman Harris is THEE vintage guitar dealer!! He owns and operates his historic store called Norman's Rare Guitars in Tarzana, CA which is nothing short of legendary. He is one of the guitar industry's foremost experts on vintage guitars. His store has become a rock star and entertainer destination and he has become a celebrity through his Youtube channel which has more than 500,000 subscribers. He is also the author of two books about vintage guitars and was close friends with Tom Petty before his passing and just so happens to owns Tom's guitar and top hat which I was lucky enough to try on. On any given day you will see Slash, Joe Bonamassa or Dave Grohl shopping around this epic LA axe store.

Drew & actor Travis Caldwell discuss auditioning, getting cast on The Gates on ABC, competing for roles w Zac Efron, thrill of kissing JLo and the over all format for being a working actor in Hollywood. Travis and Drew have been friends for over 15 years and have an amazing hilarity to their conversations.
BIO: Travis Caldwell, came to Los Angeles with his passion to pursue an acting career. He has studied with Michael Woolsen (The Michael Woolsen Studio), and attended 8 years of Improv classes out of his liking to perform for live audiences. He recently worked on ABC's The Gates as series regular Charlie Monohan. Travis is a native of Phoenix, Arizona, and since his relocation he has guest starred on CSI: Miami and Without-A-Trace for CBS, Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place; ABC Family Channel's The Lying Game; ABC's Women's Murder Club and Miss/Guided; NBC's Parenthood; filmed a few National commercials (Sports Authority; Thomas' Square Bagels; Blue-Cross Blue-Shield; and Bratz). He has done extended commercial print work with Mattel, Sprint, Proctor & Gamble, and Teen & Glamour Magazines, and traveled twice to Hong Kong to fulfill modeling contracts for agency. From a very young age, When he's not acting he enjoys playing ice and street hockey. Tom Cruise was his inspiration from the start , to Top Gun all the back to Risky Business. I sit down in Studio 2 @ legendary Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood, CA with one of the top touring drummers today, Johnny Radelat from the Gary Clark Jr band. He started off growing up in Miami to then college at the University of Florida, eventually a move to Austin, TX to drum for the legendary group The Greyhounds. Then the formation of the Gary Clark Jr band in 2011 to as we know it today. My favorite moment is a memorable Red Rocks story of why his favorite venue was so crazy this time around.
